Matt believes in building a strong continuity of care and places an emphasis on creating relationships outside of Alina Lodge that promote the long-term care of our guests. Whether he is touring referral sources around campus, or meeting individually with guests, he is always dedicated to improving the lives of those that we serve. Outside of work, Matt can be found trying to lower his handicap on the golf course, or spending time with his family and friends. Andrew’s professional journey is a testament to his leadership and commitment to serving others. He has held impactful leadership positions, including serving as the COO of Volunteers of America OH & IN, CEO of Central Ohio YMCA, and CEO of Greater Waterbury YMCA. Andrew holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University (MBA) and a master’s of management in human services from The Heller School at Brandeis University (MMHS).

Gerry is an LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor) and the Senior Clinical Advisor to the Clinical Director of Alina Lodge. She believes that family members have the biggest influence upon the student’s efforts for sustained recovery. Aaron has over 30 years of experience in marketing, strategy, leadership and business development . Aaron is an energetic and results driven marketing professional with the experience and qualifications to lead sales, marketing and business development activities.

Heather transitioned into the substance abuse field in 2012 where she began her career in referral relations and the admissions aspect of the industry. She has also trained in several models of intervention training and education over the last 8 years and has been a candidate member of the Association of Intervention Specialists since 2012. Heather is currently pursuing her CIP through the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Jim’s career in business development and marketing spans over a 30 year period of time. He has held similar roles in logistics, pharmaceuticals and property & casualty insurance. Liza is a Licensed Social Worker dedicated to supporting individuals through their unique journeys.

Prior to changing careers into the counseling field, Thérèse worked in the investment and securities field for over 20 years in sales, management and compliance, and supervisory roles. She started out at a non-profit psychiatric facility where she was involved in residential services, crisis unit, and detox services. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from FAU she assumed the role of case manager where she excelled in working with the dual diagnosis population. His role at Alina Lodge is to ensure that we have the financial capacity to deliver the care and services our guests need day in and day out. His work and the work of his team is critical to our mission of seeing the disease of addiction go into remission for each individual who passes through our door. The Tech Steppers are a Technology subcommittee that provides support to OIAA directory meetings and their attendees for online security and account settings.

Deb has over 30 years of experience in the addiction field including marketing, business development, admissions, and as an operations consultant to addiction treatment and healthcare organizations. Formerly, Deb was the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer and executive responsible for marketing, admissions, and research for two of the nation’s most respected addiction treatment providers. In these positions, she was responsible for creating national visibility, substantial revenue growth, a positive shift in payer mix, and establishing a sales force. Michelle came to us in February of 2022 after she relocated her residence from Bergen County.

  • After leaving Haley House for two years, she started working on her Masters in Pastoral Counseling.
  • Carol received her BA in Management and Marketing from Montclair State University.
  • Donna and Jackie are certified as a Canine Assisted Therapy Team CAT team and Mental Health and Trauma Response (MHTR) team.
  • She comes with extensive experience in social work, specializing in supporting families in crisis and assisting parents facing substance use and mental health challenges.

Aaron Garner

Jane strives to combine her knowledge and experience from her prior careers and education to provide the highest level of care to Alina Lodge’s students and families as a member of the clinical team. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, followed by becoming a licensed social worker in New Jersey. She comes with extensive experience in social work, specializing in supporting families in crisis and assisting parents facing substance use and mental health challenges. Her professional roles include working for the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, responding to referrals concerning abuse and neglect and strengthening families by linking them to local resources. She has a deep-seated passion for social work, offering impactful support when counseling those navigating the difficulties of addiction. She is proud to be part of a team that instills hope, influences positive change and fosters recovery.

Chris has worked as a business development professional in the addiction treatment industry since 2009. During that time Chris has always aligned himself with treatment programs that have done excellent work for those struggling with substance use disorder. He has had the privilege of working in a variety of geographic regions and levels of care. He truly enjoys the satisfaction of helping people and their families find the program that will best suite their clinical needs, giving them the best chance at successful outcomes. Marlene is passionate about health equity and reducing disparities to ensure that high-quality care is accessible to everyone.

She brings a caring and supportive approach to fostering a positive culture around compliance and continuous quality improvement. Marlene values the partnerships with and involvement of all stakeholders, staff, and guests most in supporting and improving outcomes through quality improvement initiatives. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Miami. Additionally, Marlene holds certifications in healthcare quality and patient-centered medical homes, serves on several advisory committees, and acts as a supportive, caring mentor to many. Babette received her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth. In addition to seeing students individually she provides monthly nutrition lectures and shares up to date nutrition information to enhance the quality of life of our students.

It is important to stay connected despite social isolation, and we must work together to protect our sobriety. Derek has an extensive background in non-profit, medical research and healthcare finance and administration having served as a Chief Financial Officer exhibiting strong organizational and leadership performance. Deb’s involvement with both non- and for-profits organizations on both the East and West Coasts gives her a knowledge of treatment and options around the country. Her passion is helping clients and families find the best treatment options to meet their individual needs as they embark on their journey to long-term recovery. Jennifer brings over 25 years of nursing experience to the Lodge ranging from public health to corporate health.

Addiction is a disease of isolation, and we must stand strong together to get through this trying time. Alina Lodge currently provides a remote access online AA meeting every day of the week. This way, friends and alumni can still get the recovery they need from the comfort of their own home.

Angela brings nearly 10 years of experience in addiction treatment and is dedicated to helping individuals on their journey to recovery. As an Alumni of Haley House, she has a passion for providing our guests and their families with recommendations on aftercare and how it plays a vital role in long term recovery. Angela works in conjunction with the clinical team, specializing in aftercare with a strong commitment to promoting well-being and fostering positive change. Committed to recovery and wellness, she brings a personal understanding to her work in highwatch zoom meetings the addiction field. Outside of work, you can find Angela balancing the warmth of a fulfilling home life and finding joy in the companionship of her beloved puppies.

The Tech Steppers seek to assist groups improve their online safety and security posture and better defend their meetings from potential and active disruptors. Bill began his Alina Lodge career in 2011 as a Facilitator and decided to pursue a CADC after seeing Students’ lives transformed over the course of their stay in treatment. As part of his internship, Bill also worked at The Center for Prevention and Counseling in Newton, New Jersey. There he was tasked with overseeing their Intensive Outpatient Program as well as providing classroom instruction for the Sussex County Intoxicated Driver Resource Center program, a court-mandated class for DUI offenders. In 2010, Aaron transitioned into behavioral health with Caron Treatment Centers.

Matt brings over a decade of experience in addiction treatment to the team at Alina Lodge. Having worked in numerous capacities at different treatment centers, Matt brings a unique skillset that helps our organization grow in new ways. As Vice President of Business Development, he oversees and manages both the Business Development and Continuing Care teams.
